Englishman River Motel

The Englishman River Motel is located in the resort community of Parksville, British Columbia - conveniently located on the central east coast of Vancouver Island and situated in a park like setting on the banks of the Englishman River. We have excellent fishing and swimming in the river, and a spectacular view of the migration of 4 species of Pacific salmon as they travel up river to spawn in mid-September. In January, eagles can be seen in the trees and on shoreline of the river feasting on the salmon.

Welcome to Parksville

Parksville is easily accessed from the B.C. Ferries terminals in Nanaimo - just a 30 minute drive.

The Parksville area is home to miles of safe, sandy beaches and warm tidal waters, offering some of the best swimming anywhere in the province of British Columbia. This oceanside beach country is a great place to spend a few days as there are numerous golf courses in the region and many other outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing and, of course, beachcombing. Top Bridge Park, which is located between Parksville and Englishman River Falls, is one of the three parks in the province designated for mountain biking, and it features a variety of trails. Englishman River Falls is Vancouver Island's oldest provincial park. It has easy walking trails, beautiful falls and a pool of crystal clear water at the bottom of the canyon, a perfect spot to see salmon, steelhead and trout.
